Welcome to Taiwan! (Cue the typhoon...) We reached Taipei around 9pm so we checked in to Amba Zhongshan and went out to scope the late night eats...which is my favorite thing to do in Taipei! We decided on some pot stickers and soy milk for dinner. Our bill was $5..how crazy is that?! I forgot how cheap food was in Taiwan compared to Japan. Right after dinner we went back to the hotel to rest up for the next day and woke up to a strong typhoon. Even though everything was closed that day, the hotels restaurant was still open so we were able to enjoy our complimentary breakfast when we woke up. My sister and I stayed in the corner King room while Zippy stayed at their Ximending location. I love how each room welcomes you with two bottles of soda and local asian snacks. The rooms also had a large vanity which was extra nice since we had 2 girls in the room. The corner room was lined with windows on both sides and allowed a lot of natural light in. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the Zhongshan stop on the MRT and also just steps away from the shopping district. When we were here we also visited the Taipei Museum of Contemporary Art which was only a 10 minute walk away. I loved how everything was walkable and just at my fingertips!
